Mach V Disc Golf Basket #17034

The Mach V is a heavy-duty professional disc golf basket manufacturered by the Disc Golf Association (DGA). The Mach V disc golf basket (a.k.a. Pole Hole) is an all-metal disc golf basket that comes in two configuration options:

Deluxe Permanent - The Deluxe basket has a separate locking collar that is cemented into the ground. The basket then slips into this collar and is secured with a pad lock. Deluxe baskets can be unlocked for easy removal.

Portable - The Portable basket is designed for easy relocation and cannot be secured for permanent play. This configuration is popular for addding extra holes during a tournament, for back yards, or for physical education classes. Portable baskets come with a wheel for easy mobility.

This great basket improves on the Mach II New basket by adding 6 more chains (for a total of 24 galvanized chains) spread over three tiers, resulting in reliable catches on every putt.. This awesome basket also features DGA's patented Sliding Link Holders which help capture high putts and their deep Trapper basket to prevent bounce outs. This basket is an excellent choice for premium courses and public parks where baskets will be getting a lot of play daily.

What is this sport anyway? Disc golf (also referred to as "frisbee golf") is played much like traditional golf. Instead of a ball and clubs, however, players use a flying disc, or FrisbeeŽ. The sport was formalized in the 1970s, and shares with "ball golf" the object of completing each hole in the fewest number of strokes (or, in the case of disc golf, fewest number of throws). Currently, there are more than 1,750 disc golf courses worldwide, with over 1,400 in the USA.
